What happens if I sell or transfer a Collector/Guardian during a mission they are assigned to?

Selling or transferring a character collectible currently assigned to an active mission squad will negatively impact that mission's outcome, either by reducing the success chance or increasing the mission duration. Complete missions before selling assigned characters!
